We made the most of our short visit in South Dakota! This region is full of historical landmarks and until you explore this great country we live in, do you really understand the grandeur landscape that exists.

The Badlands National Park is so amazing with it’s natural rocky landscape. However, it made me sick with fear when Kerry and Kayla ventured out to snap this picture!

I wouldn’t change these moments for anything!

When she’s older, these are the memories that will put a smile on her face! I remember my childhood family trips like it was yesterday!! So much fun!!

Until you see Mount Rushmore National Memorial in person, do you really understand the breathtaking scale of this historical masterpiece. Definitely a bucket list check off!

The dads took the kids for a stroll in the Black Hills of Keystone, South Dakota!

Thankful these two made it back with all working parts!! Yes, that’s Kerry driving and taking the picture! YIKES!!

The Crazy Horse Monument pays tribute to the Lakota tribe and began progress in 1948. It’s an incredible story embracing the Native American Culture and when complete, it will be the worlds second tallest sculpture!

The fun sightseeing ended way too early, but we had to load up and head to our final destination- Rock Springs, Wyoming! We had one more special surprise for the kiddos before we said goodbye to South Dakota and made a quick stop at the hospitable Myers Performance Horses Ranch to see one of the legends in the western world, Frenchmans Guy! Progeny earnings exceed $11 Million!! He’s the decades leading living sire and at the age of 32, he still comes out of his stall prancing and blowing like he’s getting ready to make that next run! Such a majestic creature!
